Test Results

Any investigation or test you have done will be dealt with promptly and you will be usually given an idea of how long it will take for the results to become available.

For most tests we do not routinely contact the patient, but ask you to ring us. We ask that you try to avoid ringing early in the morning when the phone lines are busy with patients booking appointments.  Later in the day also gives the doctor time to look at and report on the results.

Results can only be given to patients themselves, or to the parents of a minor. If you are happy for a partner or family member to be given your results you need to tell the practice so the information can be recorded in your records.

PREGNANCY TEST results are only ever given to the patient.
