Travel Clinic

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to have an appointment with the practice nurse.  However initially you should ring our receptionist and someone will take your details: name, address, phone number. She will ask the date you are travelling and your destination, to determine what vaccinations are required.

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible, preferably at least 6 weeks before you travel.  Depending on the vaccinations you need you may require a second appointment to finish a course of injections.  The final appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

The practice gives those vaccines which are available under the NHS.  Some travel vaccines are not included in the services provided under the NGMS and we do not usually offer these and patients will be advised of alternative providers for these.  You should note there will be a charge for these vaccines.
